As COVID-19 continues to impact our communities, the realities of our failed health and social infrastructures are becoming increasingly evident. Decades of structural racism, housing discrimination, and institutional neglect have left Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and low-income communities extremely vulnerable to this disease and unable to access high-quality care, ultimately leading to increased economic instability.
Girls for Gender Equity (GGE) launched A National Agenda for Black Girls to center the experiences of Black girls and gender non-conforming Black youth leading up to the 2020 election, which is arguably the most pivotal of our generation. In response to COVID-19’s compounding effects on the existing inequities that keep Black girls from living full lives, we are doubling down on the mission of A National Agenda for Black Girls.
Invest in this work and the future of Black girls with us by donating generously today. Your support will help us uplift the voices of young people living through this national crisis and shift the conversation to the value of Black girls in this country.
